BETTER ALONE ✍️
They say that in making decisions, if you are in doubt or unsure, DON'T! Similarly, if you are not eternally minded, don't make major decisions, such as getting married, unless you understand what an ideal marriage is. Choosing to marry someone should not be made solely on the basis of their outward appearance, financial success, or social standing. Whoever you decide to marry will be your lifelong partner, and no one wants to spend their entire life in misery, living life like a "hell on earth. Thus, in selecting your "better-half, keep eternity in mind. Set your standards high above the heavens and beyond what the human eye can see. Now, there are three things in the world that last forever:
1. The Lord God Almighty. The eternally minded person prioritizes pleasing the Lord more than anything or anyone else because they understand that God is the source of everything they have and all that they are.
2. The Word. An eternally minded individual studies the Bible and holds onto it, keeping its promises and applying the Word daily.
3. Human soul. An eternally minded individual brings down the heavens for others, blessing people with kindness and goodwill, especially the oppressed and less fortunate.
Keep in mind that when you tie the knot, you are not only hoping to find a lifetime partner, but you will also soon become parents, so you truly do need to have that heavenly perspective for the sake of your children. And when you and your spouse model diligence toward a spiritual walk with Christ at the heart of your relationship, you will educate your kids to love the Lord as well. Now that's what you call a Christ-centred family built on a marriage that was meant to be, or simply say, "a marriage made in heaven."
Don't be hasty in marrying. Be patient, pray fervently to have a godly spouse. Ika nga ni Pastor Bong Saquing...👇🙂
