Tatay's Day (Pillars of The House)✍️

Madali ang maging tatay, pero mahirap ang magpaka-Tatay!  Mahirap ang magpaka-Ama!

Fatherhood is a mission placed on men by God; hence, it is a duty that cannot be delegated to others. One needs to have a burning desire to provide for his wife and kids, not just physically or financially but spiritually above all else, if he wants to be a father in the true sense.

As a father, you are responsible for leading your family to Jesus, the Only True Shepherd, as God has entrusted you your wife and your kids, as your sheep to tend to. Teaching your children how to pray is another approach to drawing your family closer to God. But if children don't witness you praying, how will they learn to do so? As a sensible father, you must set a good example and be a role model for your family. Demonstrate to them that you are doing it yourself in faith and obedience to Christ, sincerely praying for your wife and children, consistently reading the Bible, and with a strong commitment to perform godly duties, in which case you may win them to Christ. Ika nga, "walk the talk and practice what you preach," before you can influence your family or anyone else to do what you are teaching them.

As a father, do not only build a shelter on this earth for your family, but rather anchor their spirits and souls in Heaven Himself, who is Jesus, so they can experience Heaven-on-earth. And since you are considered the pillar of the house, do not be satisfied with simply doing the right thing, such as having the right views, making the right decisions, and behaving correctly, but rather make an effort to do things properly from a GODLY perspective, out of fear of the Lord. In so doing, you are giving yourself a lasting legacy that your wife and children will never forget.

Above all, follow Jesus and His word fervently to pastor your flock, as you and you alone are God's appointed priest for your household.

And let us remember to give the highest glory, honor, and praise to the greatest, amazing, and loving Dad of all seasons and throughout all generations, our Abba Father!🫰

The Lord carried you, as a father carries his son. (Deut. 1:29-31)
