You've God The Badge of Authority🛡️✍️

If God allowed you to choose between power and authority, which would you pick?

Most of us would probably choose "power" at first glance. It is human nature to think that sheer force or control is the ultimate advantage. 

Let’s look at a simple illustration. Imagine a traffic officer on a highway when a massive truck speeds by. Which of them has power, and which has authority?

Because of its weight and momentum, the truck has power. But the traffic officer, regardless of his physical stature, holds authority. With a simple raise of his hand, he signals the vehicle to stop and despite its immense size, it must obey. That is the beauty of authority.

When we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior and became God’s children, we were given this exact kind of spiritual authority. Satan has the power to influence, tempt, or manipulate. However, we can completely overcome his tactics through our God-given position. 

When the enemy bombards us with things that steal our joy and peace, we must assert that authority. When we rebuke him in Jesus' name, he has no choice but to flee (James 4:7). As children of God, we can also call upon the Lord of hosts for backup. Just like that traffic officer who can use his radio to summon support like squads, state troops, or whatever is necessary if the truck driver turns hostile, we are never fighting alone. Legions of angels stand ready to help us.

Ultimately, authority overrules power. Going back to the question: If God allowed you to choose between the two today, which one would you prefer?

Now, remember God's promise to you and realize a breathtaking truth: He has actually granted you BOTH power and authority. Isn't that amazing? 

Praise be to the all-powerful, ever-living God who gave us the power and authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and to defeat every power of the enemy and absolutely nothing shall hurt us ✝️

Rewinding the 'Rewind'🎬✍️

I'm impressed at how they incorporated the Lord Jesus Christ ("Lods") into the movie sequences of "Rewind," an MMFF entry for 2023. The film did well in showcasing God as He truly is. Isa-isahin po natin. As of this writing and while you are reading this blog, we both have what we need: a beating heart, oxygen to breathe, the strength to move, and the reason to exist, all because of God, The ' Life-Giver ' (Acts 17:28). We have family, jobs, homes, and everything else because of Jehovah Jireh , the God who provides and supplies us with all things. In the movie, John (Dingdong Dantes) has these blessings: a good wife, a son, a friend, a career, a big house, etc. But he prioritizes his work over his family and, worst, fails to recognize God as the source of all he has. And since God is the Giver of everything, HE also has the authority to withhold or even take all away from us for His own sovereign purpose, which leads me to another facet of God...⬇️ Go...

The Flagrum/Flagellation of Jesus (HolyWeek2024)✍️

The premiere of the 2004 movie "The Passion of the Christ" shows the suffering that Jesus endured at the hands of people. The film has a lot of controversy because it portrays Jesus' suffering as horrific violence.
