The Hallow-Ends 2021✍️

When October arrives, I prepare to celebrate Hallow-ends, or the famous Halloween. I go to malls looking for upcoming trick-or-treating activities and get my kids involved. The costumes worn by my children were inspired by their birthday suits, Woody and Jessie from Toy Story. Thank God, I did not know the truth yet but they were spared from donning the garments of the evil ones.

It was Halloween season, so I bought hellish decorations for our dwelling: plastic pumpkins in various colors and hung them around our fence. Ghost masks, spider webs, bats, skeleton witches with black capes and stringy hair, etc. I acquired these pieces of stuff to set a scary vibe at home, to feel the "hair-raising, chilling" aura, and to imply to the neighbors that "it's a horrific time!" I am thrilled and proud to unite with the world in commemorating the period of darkness and ugliness.

I laugh and smile as I see and hear the nervous youngsters passing by our house say, "Hala! May moo-moo oh!" referring to the arm-sized skeleton witch decor being tossed to and fro by the wind hanging in our carport. Wretched me, aren't I? A sane person would, not at all, do such a thing to somebody, especially young ones. Spreading fear is Satan and his minions' business. But here I am, being his accomplice, helping him scare others, causing them to shiver, have a rapid heartbeat, and have mental and emotional stress which could lead to sin (of fearfulness or traumatization) and possible untimely demise. The Halloween or "D"-day as I alternatively term it, as in "D" for D-arkness, and D-evil,  does embody the intent of its mastermind, the enemy, the thief who comes only to steal., kill, and destroy.-- John 10:10

How happy Satan must be as he witnesses the world marks his event by devoting so much of their day, attention, and resources to it. You see, we are God's creations, but ironically, we patronize God's adversary, Lucifer. It is hurting to God😢

Many individuals treat October 31 as an ordinary holiday and it's not a big deal. Insensitive or desensitized, that is how we become to Halloween's negative impact on our souls. We ignore the fact of who is being extolled just at the mere thought of the event. Sure, none other than the chief of the wicked and his cronies. But instead of opting to break free from them, some are committed to keeping the D-day or dark season a part of their existence, their children, their children's children, and their entire family and clan, year after year, they celebrate it.

Imagine if Satan tells you, "Let us go to my hell kingdom." Would you draw near him? Of course not! Your immediate response would be... RUN!! RUN for your life. And if the devil says, "I am pleased for your active participation in my Halloween yearly," Can you refuse it? Those meticulously applied makeup or face paints are done with extreme caution and regard to every detail to imitate the features of the terrifying monsters. Some even dress in full black or provide added attire or accessories of the maleficent character they aim to portray for a more realistic appearance. On the eve of D-day, you can see on TV programs or come face to face with them in malls: a man with a severed head, a hunchback wearing monastic clothes and holding a lamp, a vampire or Dracula with blood dripping from his mouth, a witch wearing a hat and carrying a broom, a zombie-like figure with an eye or brain sticking out and its lips wide open, and many more disgusting appearances meant to evoke fear. 

In all this evidence of support for Halloween, there is no sense denying, guilty as charged for taking sides with the ones who HATE the LIGHT. One may claim that they are joining Halloween parties only for fun and pleasure. No!  You cannot give the "Wicked of the wicked" any explanations or excuses why you do what you do. He who has no room for empathy and compassion doesn't accept reasons. Satan is not kidding, friend. If you think Halloween is nothing more than a passing holiday, you are mistaken! He is so serious and will make you pay for the rest of your life and that of your family. Please be mindful of our actions and decisions to avoid regrets in the end.

The sad fact is Satan does not need to chase humans anymore because they voluntarily laud and advertise his "D" Day right in their own abode with friends and invited guests, or even intentionally go to venues where his parties are publicly held.

Simple Analogy. During election campaigns, people dress in the color of their preferred candidate.  Some wear t-shirts with the candidate's name or printed image to show their oneness to that politician. The same holds for Halloween. Whether we are aware or not, in observing the "D"-day, we are backing up Satan.

God is the creator, while Satan is the destroyer. Satan hates God and wants to wipe off humanity. God advises us not to get involved with the dark side because doing so puts us in danger of dying both spiritually and physically. Hence if we love our family and ourselves, we ought to repel all things of the destroyer like His feasts.

Four years ago, I met Jesus. My fears were replaced with faith (in HIM☝️ My lifeless spirit, which had no interest in anything to do with God or His word (the Bible), was awakened. And I praise the Lord for showing me that in and through HIM alone is the (right) WAY, the (sincere/genuine) TRUTH, and the (purposeful) LIFE🙏

We have been redeemed by Christ's sacrificial love on the Cross and are now God's adopted children. Thus we are called to give LIFE to "the dead in spirit," be the LIGHT to those walking in the absence of it, and a GUIDE to trust in Christ for those who dwell in fear and doubt. Let us oppose evil and abstain from fostering moral deviation since we now belong to God as HIS children of light. We are commanded to speak the truth in love, hence, we have the moral obligation  to warn everybody about the threats of Halloween and all other holidays that are not of and from God.

Satan promotes darkness, dread, and death.
Jesus provides Light, peace, and Life.
Jesus is the victorious King of kings, while Satan is a defeated foe.
Who else should you decide to be with on this life journey? I hope you'll make yourself an official and exclusive member of Jesus' team! Jesus loves you!🫰❤️

Think about this: If you are drawn to anything Halloween-related, with its grisly creatures, delectable treats, horror tales, and other strange things, how will you be in paradise or heaven given that all these are forbidden there?👍

Heavenly Father🙏
Thank you for revealing the schemes of our spiritual enemy to us. We are grateful for Your word which informs us about the evil one and his cohorts. I pray for the release of those who are held captive by traditions of men such as Halloween. God, dispel the darkness in their lives, shine your light unto them. Remove the blinders satan has placed on their eyes so they cannot see the light. Make them realize the consequences of engaging in feasts other than the ones You have delegated us to keep. Deliver Your people from the grasp of Satan and the snares of hell. Awaken their sleeping spirits, help them decide what's right based on what is true, to choose the LIGHT, to have YOU in their lives, JESUS. Grant them salvation, Lord, in Your Name, I pray, Amen.

This is what the wise men did when they visited the newborn baby Jesus. They saw the star (the guiding light), pursued it, followed it, and never departed from it. Let us go and do the same🙂 Hate the darkness and
