Muerte ✝️✍️

What are your thoughts? Pilita Corrales died, followed by Nora Aunor, then Pope Francis, and Hajji Alejandro. Are they old enough to die, and so they died?  But How about Barbie Hsu, the famed ShanCai of Meteor Garden TV Series, who died at the age of 47 earlier this year? And not to forget Rico Yan, who, at the age of 27, was discovered dead? Many more young people have died from a variety of reasons such as accidents, sickness, unfortunate events and so on. This implies the Truth that old age is never guaranteed. No one can avert death, no matter how young or healthy or wealthy you are. HENCE, I SAY💬 Every minute, someone leaves this world behind. We're all in "the queue," not knowing the time. We will never know how many people are ahead of us. We can't move to the bottom of the row. We can't get out of line. We just have to trust the Divine With what awaits us from far beyond. So WHILE YET ALIVE👼 A-BIDE in God, for Apart from HIM, you are nothing. B-ELIEVE.....

Rewinding the 'Rewind'🎬✍️

I'm impressed at how they incorporated the Lord Jesus Christ ("Lods") into the movie sequences of "Rewind," an MMFF entry for 2023. The film did well in showcasing God as He truly is. Isa-isahin po natin. As of this writing and while you are reading this blog, we both have what we need: a beating heart, oxygen to breathe, the strength to move, and the reason to exist, all because of God, The ' Life-Giver ' (Acts 17:28). We have family, jobs, homes, and everything else because of Jehovah Jireh , the God who provides and supplies us with all things. In the movie, John (Dingdong Dantes) has these blessings: a good wife, a son, a friend, a career, a big house, etc. But he prioritizes his work over his family and, worst, fails to recognize God as the source of all he has. And since God is the Giver of everything, HE also has the authority to withhold or even take all away from us for His own sovereign purpose, which leads me to another facet of God...⬇️ Go...

Wash Your Hands✋️ From The Inside Out ✍️

If you go to a restaurant for lunch, expect it to be completely crowded, with no tables or chairs available. Before you can have your seat, you must wait for someone to finish their meal and leave. But what if the crew member cleaning the previously occupied tables is the same person who served you your ordered food (na halatang di na naghugas ng kamay)? What would your reaction be? Would you be glad or horrified? I remember our trip to Hong Kong. In that country, they are not after cleanliness and sanitation. The forks and spoons we used at one of the restaurants were oily. Could it be that the utensils were not so clean because the dishwashers, to serve their large number of customers, were racing to finish their washing quickly? However, the customer's health should not be compromised, no matter what. So utensils must be thoroughly cleaned and sterilized. That is why, while eating at that time, I couldn't help but fret about our health. Bacteria are poised to attack our immu...

Pag-Aayuno 2018 ✍️

Fasting is a spiritual discipline for those who walk with Christ. Throughout Scripture, fasting is mentioned repeatedly, not as a mere suggestion, but as a practice woven into the life of a believer. We fast as an act of humility, declaring that God holds the highest place in our lives. Through prayer and fasting, we learn self-control by willingly setting aside things we think we cannot live without, only to discover that what we truly need most. is God. Fasting helps realign our hearts and priorities with His will, and as we pray and fast, we place our full trust and dependence in Him alone. While some people choose to fast from things like social media, gadgets, television, or streaming platforms, not everyone has access to these comforts. Those living in remote areas, for example, may not have technology to set aside. This leads us to reflect more deeply: What is the greatest sacrifice we can offer as we seek to draw closer to God? Food is something all people desire, whether rich ...
